Ramanji Handlooms is based in Dharmavaram, Andhra Pradesh — the town whose name is carried by the GI-tagged Dharmavaram pattu saree. We are not a reseller sourcing from multiple towns and relabelling; every saree we sell is manufactured within this local handloom tradition, from raw silk and zari through to the finished, packed saree.
Because manufacturing, quality control and sales sit under one roof, we can quote realistic delivery timelines, take custom and bulk orders, and stand behind exactly how each saree is made.
The Weaving Process
Every Dharmavaram pattu saree we manufacture follows the traditional interlocked-border technique: the zari border and the silk body are woven separately on the handloom and then joined together, which is what gives a genuine Dharmavaram saree its sharp, contrasting border edge.
Pure mulberry silk yarn is prepared and dyed, the warp is set on the loom, and the weaver works the body, border and pallu design by hand — a single saree can take several days of loom time depending on zari density and motif complexity.
Quality Control & Finishing
Custom Orders & Reweaving
Bridal parties, boutiques and resellers can request custom colour combinations, specific motifs or a particular zari density, subject to yarn and loom availability. Select sold-out designs can also be rewoven on request.
