Navy Blue Handloom Butta Saree – Floral Butta Motifs with Elephant Procession Border

The deep navy ground of this handloom pure silk butta saree is scattered with fine floral buttas in Subham Zari gold zari, repeated at even intervals so the pattern carries across the whole field. Along the edge runs an elephant procession border, a motif long used on South Indian handlooms, which gives the drape a defined finish. Woven by Ramanji Handlooms in Dharmavaram, Andhra Pradesh, the buttas are worked into the cloth on the loom, never printed, so the gold lifts against the dark ground under light. Understated by day, rich enough for festive evenings. Pairs well with a contrast blouse. Dry clean recommended.
