Dharmavaram Pattu Sarees
Authentic handloom Dharmavaram pattu sarees, woven and sold directly from our own showroom in Dharmavaram, Andhra Pradesh — no middlemen, retail and wholesale both welcome.
What Are Dharmavaram Pattu Sarees?
Dharmavaram is a small town in the Sri Sathya Sai district of Andhra Pradesh with a centuries-old handloom silk weaving tradition, and its pattu (silk) sarees carry a Geographical Indication (GI) tag recognising their distinct weaving technique.
In a genuine Dharmavaram pattu saree, the zari border and the saree body are woven separately and then interlocked together — the technique that gives Dharmavaram borders their sharp, contrasting definition against the body colour. Temple arches, elephants, deer, peacocks and floral vines are common motifs.
Ramanji Handlooms is based in Dharmavaram itself, at 1-555, Shanthi Nagar, and every saree we sell is sourced directly from this weaving tradition.
